A list of network information will appear on the screen including the IP address you are looking for. For computers running macOS the process is slightly different. Go to System Preferences and then select Network. After selecting an active network connection in the list on the left side of the window the IP address will be visible on the right side. For Linux users the method is similar to that used in Windows. You open a terminal and type ifconfig or ip a and the system will display a list Phone Number List of network information containing the IP addresses assigned to each network interface. There is also a universal method available for all operating systems which is to use a website that displays the user's public IP address. Just open your web browser and type what is my IP in any internet search engine. The results will show you a page that once entered will display your computer's public IP address. Finding an IP address is simple and does not require advanced IT knowledge to quickly get the information they need about their network connection. In summary finding your computer's IP address is a relatively simple task that can be accomplished in different ways depending on the operating system you are using. On Windows systems it is often enough to use the command line and enter the ipconfig command while macOS users can do it through System Preferences and selecting the Network option.
